The venue is the sculptural composition “Heart” created by the artist, which was installed earlier this year. The art object, made of alloy steel, has impressive dimensions (5.25 meters long, 3.45 meters high and 1.5 meters wide) and combines 3,093 hearts, the largest of which is in the middle.

With her campaign on St. Valentine’s Day, just as with the installation of the sculptural composition, the artist once again wants to portray Kyiv as a city that always welcomes guests and makes the people of Kyiv happy. First and foremost, this applies to the railway station that should not remain only fussy and gray in the eyes of passengers.

According to the designer, the “Heart” of Kyiv is always open, because you can go inside the composition, and is ready to transfer part of its love, share its scarlet light day and night, when the sculpture is illuminated with a special filter from Belgian factory DeltaLight.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 1,000 guests, including 17 UN agencies, ambassadors, high-ranking officials, Ukrainian celebrities and youth
Presenting her exposition, the artist touched upon the problems of raising the level of water in the oceans, drying of rivers and lakes, as well as the lack of drinking water in the world. According to Olga Kondratska, this is what inspired her to create a thematic collection of works in order to attract the attention of the international community to the current global problem of water resources.

Also during the celebration there was a photo exhibition and video “Be on the Change” (“Be the Change”), which was attended by 18 Ukrainian stars. The main idea of ​​the campaign is to promote and achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals for Ukrainians. During the event, the stars who participated in the information campaign shared their personal motivation to achieve the Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals are a kind of call to action to which all UN Member States – the poor, the disadvantaged and the developing world – are involved. 193 countries are deploying their forces to achieve the 17 Goals. Ukraine has recently set its Global Goals as its highest priority, following the signing by the President of Ukraine of Ukraine of the Decree “On Sustainable Development Goals of Ukraine for the Period up to 2030” of September 30, 2019.

With her project, the artist wants to draw public attention to environmental, social, humanitarian problems caused by manifestations of armed aggression in eastern Ukraine and in other hot spots on the planet and to remind the international community of Ukraine’s aspirations for Euro-Atlantic integration.

Through her art, Kondratka conveys her own emotions and feelings, a vision of what is happening today in the country’s eastern regions, how people live there. The exhibition “In a Whirlwind of Feelings” is another step by the artist, aimed at creating environmental consciousness and promoting awareness of the consequences of conflicts.

The exposition consists of more than 30 paintings created in unique techniques and selected from the author’s collection “River of Life.”

During her exhibitions, Kondratska traditionally holds free art therapy and painting workshops for children. In addition, the artist spends part of the funds from the sale of paintings on charity.

The exposition can be seen around the clock in the window of the Ukrinform news agency at 8/16 Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street in Kyiv (Teatralna subway station).

Pavilion of Ukraine at the 58th International Art Exhibition –
La Biennale di Venezia – will present the project entitled The Shadow of Dream* cast upon Giardini della Biennale devoted to rethinking the notion of myth and its significance and influence on contemporary art.

For the full duration of the biennale there will be performances in the pavilion based on the myth of the flight of the world’s largest cargo aircraft over Venice on May 9th at noon. The An-225 Mriya*, (Ukrainian: “dream”), will cast its shadow over the Giardini della Biennale for a few seconds carrying only a digital hard drive with a directory of all** living Ukrainian artists in its cargo hold.

As stated by Open Group (curator): “Such histories inflect our experience as Ukrainian artists, however they do not wholly define us. The story of the shadow of the Dream passing over the Giardini della Biennale may pass into myth via retellings in the pavilion and the media, but we consider this to be constituent of the dynamic corpus of our curatorial proposition”.

Beatrix was born in Budapest, finished her studies on fashion in Vienna, and opened the Sentiments Atelier with her former partner, late Andor Kovacs almost 20 years ago. Her designs appeared on the red carpets of several international events, for example the Golden Globes, MTV Music Awards, and also, prestigious magazines included Sentiments dresses in several editorials.
Having an unquestionable admiration towards the art world, she was happy to collaborate on a project with Olga. She designed the shape of the garments, Olga designed customized materials using her signature technique. The materials were printed in the legendary Como area, where finest silk products are made. These dresses were hand made, it took 2 days and 8 meters of fabric for head seamstress of the Atelier, Mariann to create one garment.
